Senryuu Shoujo

Nanako Yukishiro is your typical high school girl – cute, cheerful, and average in every way except for one: she doesn't talk. Instead, she expresses herself through senryuu, a style of haiku that follows the 5-7-5 format. Despite this seemingly limiting communication method, Nanako has a vibrant social life thanks to her friends: ex-delinquent Eiji Busujima, club president Amane Katagiri (who is always on the lookout for love), Kino Yakobe (a shy yet expressive artist), Tao Hanakai (an enigmatic presence), and Koto Ootsuki (who has taken on the role of Eiji's self-appointed "big sister"). With this group of pals supporting her, Nanako's high school experience has been nothing short of enjoyable.
