Sayo's lifelong dream of becoming a spirit messenger came true when she secured a position at a shrine. Disappointed, she found the shrine in a state of disrepair, with a lackadaisical priest. Nonetheless, Sayo refused to be discouraged and was determined to restore the shrine to its former glory and inspire the priest.
