Aoyagi is a devoted gardener, with no interests beyond her passion for cultivating plants. She faces daily sparring sessions with Sugisaki, an ardent baseball enthusiast, and their relationship seems acrimonious at best. However, despite her indifference to baseball, Aoyagi finds herself unexpectedly smitten with Sugisaki.
