Around 3,500 years ago, the Arians residing along the Indus River had created a caste system with Brahmins occupying the highest rank. Just before the birth of Siddhartha, the protagonist of this tale, Chapra, who was born into slavery, became his adopted son after assisting a general from the Kosala kingdom.

He then concealed his background and aspired for a position of authority, but Chapra, too, was unable to escape the afflictions of the caste system...

This marks the beginning of the grand narrative of the Buddha's existence and the era in which he lived!
