Terverat is a border city famous for its poor security, where Harang, a therian who is an ordinary cat, lives. Harang, who works as a postal civil servant in this city, lives a boring and lonely life.

One day, the neighbor living next door ends up hospitalized due to drug addiction, leaving their room vacant. Into that room moves a very charming and beautiful black panther therian.

The black panther therian, who seems utterly out of place in Terverat, inexplicably keeps showing affection towards Harang. Harang knows that one should not trust strangers carelessly in Terverat, yet is constantly drawn to the black panther therian.

Meanwhile, a series of disappearances of white-furred therians occurs in Terverat. Through an item he accidentally discovers in the postal handling center's warehouse, Harang learns that he is a mage, a type of therian that was practically considered impossible.
